MAESTRO is a web-based clinical data capture and trial management system developed by Libra Medical, Inc. It can be accessed using a number of internet browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.). While MAESTRO can be accessed using mobile devices, it is not optimized for cellular use at this time.
Access to MAESTRO is managed by a user name and password security model. Granting permission to access the database (or portions thereof) typically follows this process:
- The sponsor of a clinical study requests a new user account (following database training, if applicable), typically via email to the project manager at Libra Medical.
- The project manager specifies access permissions based on Clinical Study Database Permissions Form (“Permissions Form”) templates established at the start of a clinical trial. These templates are typically user role-based and indicate user access for specific database modules or activities.
- The MAESTRO network administrator at Libra Medical then grants database access to the new user based on the specifications of the Permissions Form.
- Users receive email notification from the network administrator with login credentials.
